Hangzhou is located in the subtropical monsoon climate
region with distinct four seasons, abundant sunlight and rainfall.
The annual average temperature is about 17.5 ℃, with 27.7 ℃
in summer and 6.5 ℃ in winter. In Hangzhou, late March often
marks the beginning of spring. The average temperature from
March to May ranges from 11.1 ℃ to 22 ℃, with a minimum
average temperature of 7.6 ℃ to 18 ℃, which is quite comfortable
according to the body feeling. In mid June, summer arrives with
an average monthly temperature of 25 ℃ to 29.3 ℃. Not far from
the sea and the West Lake as its part, the summer temperature in
Hangzhou is still relatively high, usually the hottest in July. In late
September, when the sky is high and the air is cool, the average
monthly temperature in Hangzhou is between 13.3 ℃ and 24.5 ℃,
which is a season with warm and cool weather. In late November,
when it comes into winter with January being the coldest, the
average monthly temperature ranges from 5 ℃ to 7.4 ℃. There is
not much precipitation in winter, but from December to February
of the following year, there are an average of 9.7–12.4 days of
rainy and snowy periods in each month, with occasional freezing.
