Postscript

The Asian Games is a quadrennial international event of
sports. The 19th Asian Games has made another grand presence
of Hangzhou to the world after the G20 Summit in 2016. Under
the direct administration of Hangzhou municipal government,
Hangzhou Normal University has always attached great
importance to social service with the firm belief that serving the
local and Hangzhou is the ultimate goal of the school mission.
On 29 December 2018, Hangzhou Normal University signed a
strategic cooperation framework agreement with the 19th Asian
Games Hangzhou Organising Committee, announcing that the two
sides would strengthen exchanges and communication and form
an institutionalized cooperative relationship. Moreover, it is also
pointed out in the agreement that Hangzhou Normal University
would provide services in many fields, including language
service, for the Asian Games based on its specific advantages of
disciplines.
When the international event comes, there will be a large
number of population movements. It is not difficult to predict
that during Hangzhou Asian Games, athletes, coaches, sports
officials, journalists, spectators and other international people
from various countries will come to Hangzhou to participate and
watch the games. In the face of these international guests with
little Chinese communicative skills, what we are considering is
how to provide them with basic Chinese language service and a
