同龄人语
“温良恭俭让”，是孔子在长期的游学、教书过程中修炼的品质，其实也是中
国古代许多文人雅士骨子里流淌着的心性。比如东晋的谢安，作为高门士族代表人
物，不专权营私，当谢氏家族利益与国家利益冲突时，能顾全大局。他性情温和，
处事公允，不居功自傲，树立了为后人称道的宰相风范。
子贡点明了孔子理想的完美人格——温良恭俭让。一个人的成就最终源于其内

英译
Ziqin once asked Zigong, saying, “How was it that whenever the Master came into a
country he was always informed of the actual state and policy of its government? Did he
seek for the information or was it given to him?”
“The Master,” replied Zigong, “was gracious, simple, earnest, modest and courteous;
therefore he could obtain what information he wanted. The Master’s way of obtaining
information — well, it was different from other people’s ways.”
